To design an inclusive piece of merchandise for Edinburgh Napier University.

Target Market

The Idea

The main target market that I wanted to aim my merchandise product to was students who are also parents. I got this inspiration from my mum as she was in University when I was a young child. Even though this was the main target, the outcome product would fit for many University students who have multiple responsibilities, and not just parents.

When interviewing my mum about her experience being a student and a parent at the same time she said, “I just wished that I didn’t have to think of what to do next all the time”. This is the struggle that set off my project idea of something that helps students know what to do and when.

Production

Two dice were created; one to target productivity, and to target stress. 

The packaging avoided the classic red triangle and took inspiration from the colours and shapes of the website instead.
